Hi, friends.

To thank y’all for your generosity, I thought I would offer up one of the gold coins from my trademark “Holey Gold Hat” as a prize, to be randomly drawn from the hat (no pun intended) when the fundraising has been done.

 Each contributor will get one chance in the drawing for each share they bought. This is not a supremely valuable coin, but with gold prices as they are, it’s not worthless, either.

It is, I believe, the only British coin I have on my hat, and it’s as good as anything I could hope to find over there on the expedition- in fact, if I found ANY gold coin, I would consider the trip more than a success! Gold coins typically are a once-in-a-lifetime finds for a detectorist, and I have not been so blessed yet. We shall see if that happens or not.

What’s certain is that at least one of YOU will be getting a piece of gold out of all this!
